Clara M. (Dubuc) Dana, 77, passed peacefully Friday December 16th surrounded by her two daughters in the Holiday Retirement Home. She was the proud wife of Robert E Dana for 57 years. Born in Manhattan. N.Y., daughter of the late Hector and Yvonne (Naud) Dubuc. She resided in Lincoln for over 30 years before moving to North Providence.
She was the mother to Denise M. Kanakry and her husband Michael, Christine A. Pouliot, James Dana and the late Lisa J. Nolin. She was also the grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Yvonne Louis and the late Raymond Dubuc.
Mrs. Dana worked at Sears and Roebuck for many years. She was The Avon Lady for over 30 years, receiving many awards for her accomplishments. She retired from the Diocese of Providence, her role was visiting the many of the high rises for the elderly and offering them prayers and communion, also traveling to the holy land. She was involved in many church clubs and several other parishes practicing her faith. Clara was very devoted to her faith and mission work, she traveled to Haiti and Medjugorje on two occasions to help those in need. She also ran a prayer group at the Holiday and prayed with the sick.
Clara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson James. She loved playing cards, bingo, knitting and her Coke.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, December 29th from 8:30am – 9:30am at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Jude Church, Front St., Lincoln. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
